Ephraim van IJzerlooij is een geweldig muzikale en inspirerende docent. Hij speelt zelf prachtig, wat op zich al een cadeau is, en hij leert je hoe je ontspannen een mooie klank uit jouw cello krijgt. Hoewel je iedere les stof op krijgt die je dan oefent, kan hij die stof ook loslaten want hij speelt in eerste instantie heel erg goed in op jou. Zo helpt hij je om de techniek spelenderwijs onder de knie te krijgen. De ontspanning en muzikaliteit daardoor niet alleen terug te vinden in zijn spel maar ook in zijn lessen. Mijn zoon Symen (11 jaar) heeft sinds een jaar les van Andrius. Het fijne aan Andrius is dat Symen zelf mag bepalen welke liedjes hij wil leren. Dit motiveert Symen. Andrius is in staat om algemene muzikale vaardigheden en theorie te koppelen aan deze liedjes waardoor Symen spelenderwijs veel leert. Andrius heeft veel geduld en is de kritiek altijd opbouwend. "Fantastische fluitdocent! "

Na meer dan 20 jaar nauwelijks dwarsfluit te hebben gespeeld, ben ik bij Aura weer met lessen gestart. Dat is nu 3 jaar geleden. Aura is niet alleen zelf een hele goede fluitiste. Ze geeft ook fantastisch les. Ze heeft feilloos in de gaten wat je sterke kanten zijn en waar je je nog verder op kan ontwikkelen. En daar ga je samen met haar mee aan de slag. Helemaal op maat, passend bij hoe jij het beste leert. Aura kan je ook vele soorten muziekstijlen leren. Zo ben ik met een klassieke Westerse achtergrond als basis op ontdekkingstocht gegaan in de muziek uit Brazilie, Midden Oosten en Tango. Al enige tijd heb ik les van Kaat en haar lessen zijn altijd weer inspirerend en afwisselend. Met een prettige dosis humor weet zij mij te motiveren en geduld te hebben. Er is focus en aandacht voor onder meer houding (heel belangrijk!), gevoel voor ritme leren, met en zonder metronoom, leren over chromatiek en intervallen en bovenal op een serieus speelse manier mooie muziek te maken. Bij elke pianoles van Jabiz leer ik iets nieuws. Zij heeft mij de basis van pianospelen en muziektheorie geleerd. Nu ik alweer bijna twee jaar lessen volg, kan ik zoveel meer spelen op de piano. Jabiz maakt elke les leuk met een gezonde uitdaging, omdat zij als pianist begrijpt waar je staat in je eigen ontwikkeling. Zij geeft me ook steeds leer-mogelijkheden om een muziekstuk beter te spelen. Zij biedt muziekstukken aan die passen bij je niveau. Ik krijg ook oefeningen, die nodig zijn om technieken te leren, muzikaliteit te ontwikkelen en natuurlijk gewoon pianospelen. Daarnaast is zij een leuke docent die me meeneemt in de wereld van pianomuziek en laat zij graag nieuwe ontwikkelingen zoals online-/app-mogelijkheden zien. Elsa is a gifted cello player with strong teaching affinity, and is absolutely passionate about music. Her love for the art is evident in her enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. She is exceedingly patient with Sophie, addresses performance techniques in articulated way, eyes for executing musical pieces with rhythm and dynamic, and encourages her to outperform. Although it was for a relatively short period, Sophie loved these lessons and made tremendous progress in learning how to play cello. Lavinia has been teaching me violin over the last years and, as an adult beginner with a busy schedule, I would consider myself a tricky case as a student. She adapted her teaching (and schedule) perfectly to allow me to focus on the music I was most interested in, to account for my prior music theory knowledge and to strike the perfect balance of technical exercise and enjoyable music.
