De bansuri is en Indiase bamboefluit met een betoverende klank, diepgeworteld in het Indiase muzikale erfgoed. Zowel in volks- als klassieke muziek. De bansuri is een van de oudste instrumenten ter wereld. We weten van het bestaan omdat het al genoemd wordt in de oude Vedische geschriften.
